Ah time for another update I do believe. Ok so here’s what’s up: my summer equals work, workout, work, bed, rinse and repeat. Which was fine until about a week ago. I actually left my first job in tears today it was so horrible (crouchy/psycho wussy patients who think you’re stupid don’t make for such a great day). Which sucks because I though PT was what I wanted to do with my life. But I go back to school in, what now, 8 days!!! This freaking rocks man! I can’t wait to get back to Scabilene!!! (aka Abilene for those of you who don’t speak C. Tony lingo.)
If you don’t know already I’m going back so early because I’m trying out athletic training this fall. Well, at least for the first two weeks before school starts. Lol. I hate being so indecisive. I have absolutely no idea what I want to do with my life now. I started thinking maybe not PT at the beginning of the summer after I realized how bored I was working at ZLUH. So that’s when I got real excited about AT and went all out getting set up to be a trainer this fall but that has lost it’s flare yet again and this week I’m thinking about maybe getting a teaching certificate and teaching high school Anatomy and Physiology. But I am at least trying out AT before school starts. Ok that was a lot of ramble about nothing, lol J
Ok so what else is up? Oh yeah, my brother got married last weekend in Houston! Congratulations Ryan and Ashley! The wedding was pretty small but Ashley looked beautiful and the wedding was uniquley them (as in, they walked out to nintendo music!). But when they got ready to exchange rings Larrisa, Ashley’s sister and matron of honor who was suppose to have Ashley’s ring for Ryan, suddenly got this horrified look on her face and goes "*gasp* Nooooo!………. It’s in my purse!!!" Thankfully the purse was in the church so someone ran to get it and the all us bridesmaids passed the ring up the line to Ashley so she could put it on Ryan’s finger. J Poor Ryan, we all love you. Lol.
So other than that yeah, my summer has been lots of work, which is good b/c it keeps me out of trouble/wanting to kill myself out of boredom, and it’s nice for the pocket book too. Like I said, I’ve got 8 days unitl I go back to Abliene and lots to do before then and no time to do it. So it’s quite a predicament I’m in but oh well, I’ll manage. Lol. Well, thinking of all the stuff that has to get done before next Tuesday night is making me feel quite procrastinationish so I think I’m going to play the piano for a while. Latta | | |
| Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!! What a night. Ok so I left my coaching job an hour early to go babysit for some people in flower mound. Now you have to understand, I HATE FLOWER MOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always get lost driving there and the construction is horrible! I didn't realize I was cutting in front of about 100 cars until it was too late but it's a good thing I did because I would have been stuck in that line for about 10 min and I was late as it was. Ok so I finally get to the house without getting lost (I think I have this one down by now) I play with the kid for 3 hours (which sucks, it's babysitting yes I know but I prefer the kids who are too young to know you're there or to have several so they can just go play with each other but no, this was one kid so he had my sole attention.) He finally goes to bed so I try to read my book. Nope way too tired so I decide to watch some TV. Well, once I figure out how to change the channels I also find out that you can't change them very fast. And by very fast I mean you have to wait about 10 seconds (no joke, 10 seconds) after you punch the button for the screen to change. So that's really frustraiting and I fall asleep on their couch. Thankfully their dog goes crazy when they get home so they don't know I've been asleep. So they pay me. Twenty bucks is what they pay me. Now, for one kid for 4 hours that's reasonable, that's fair. But when you're getting paid $10 and hour everywhere else, it sucks. Not to mention the fact that, having to leave my other job an hour early, I really only made $10 but, FM is so freaking far away, factor in gas and I really made more like $8 buck. 8 bucks is so not worth all the sleep I lost. But wait, it gets better. So I drove like a maniac to get to their house on time, ran 3 lights going like 7 over the whole time (keep in mind I don't speed) but on the way home I was a little better. Didn't run any lights and only went 5 over in some spots. So I turn on to McCoy, almost home. I'm still getting speed after stopping at the stop light so I look down at my spedometor to see how fast I'm going. 35mph. The speed limit, so i let of the gas to coast a little and what do I see when I look up????? Red woo woo lights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!! A COP IS PULLING ME OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm freaking out because I know I wasn't speeding on McCoy but I'm not sure about before that, or thinking maybe I was going 40 and then slowed down to 35 when I looked at my speedometor. Any ways the officer comes up and I hand him my licence but I can't find my insurance card any where. While I'm looking he's like "Ma'am, the reason I stopped you tonights is because you don't have any tail lights." TAIL LIGHTS! I'm stuck dumb I don't know what to say. I was like, "I had no idea." He asked me if I had dash lights and now I'm thinking, oh crap, cause those went out durring finals week at school. But my dad fixed them, rigged up some other wire in the car, i don't know. So I told the officer, yeah they were out but I got them fixed a few weeks ago. He asks me to turn the car on and thankfully the lights came on too. SO he didn't write me a ticket!!! :) :) :) and i came home and went to bed. Anti climactic ending, yes, but that's ok because I was not about to pay a $100+ ticket on a night I made $8 bucks on. | | |

So how about a quick update? So I just got back from England (longer update on that to come once I learn how to put pictures in). It was great! I didn’t realize how much fun I was having until I picked up my pictures yesterday. I’m really sad to be back now. The food was sooooo good and hanging out with all my cousins was lots of fun. I think I burned my lungs up going to pubs every night (no I didn’t drink that much but hey, when it’s legal you’ll try a few things, sips only, don’t worry. Beer is gross.) There was some amazing gardens that I’ve decided, when I die and go to heaven, will comprise my back yard. We had an awesome tour guide named Tim. He use to be a college history professor and he knows like everything! So he made the trip just that much better. But I’ll right more about the trip when I put my pictures on.
So I’m certainly not bored anymore! Yeah and neigh. I’m working 40-45 hours a week now! 6 hours a day at Zale-Lipshy and 3 to 4 at the gym. But yeah for $11 bucks an hour.
I may be going back to school as early as August 3. I got accepted into the athletic training program at school and I have to be there for foot ball camp. So I can kiss my fall semester good bye I guess. I think I’m excited but a little nervous too. I don’t want to do athletic training because I’m afraid I’ll really like it and that’s a really time intensive career. But, you have to love what you do so I’m going to give it a go. Still planning on take 18 hours so we’ll see how that goes. Hopefully I can get into a class at Harden Simmons across the street from ACU b/c they have a really good AT program and it would force me to spend time on the field. (65 hours for the whole semester, 4 hours a week which is like one practice a week.) And that also gives me something to do on Saturdays. Well, yeah for the heat, that’ll suck but I think I’ll live.
Well, I need to go to something active before I go to bed b/c six hours a day on your butt in a little office is enough to drive you crazy. Well, I’m off for now. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. I am now. J | | |

| How ¡®bout an update?
Well, it¡¯s summer now and I¡¯m miserable, of course. I really miss all my friends and being around people my own age all day. Currently I¡¯m stuck in my house (which is about 110¢ª and if I¡¯M SWEATING then you know it¡¯s got to be scorching in here) with a mom on the cleaning rampage. I swear you can¡¯t leave anything in one place for 10 seconds without her jumping on you to pick it up. Which would be understandable if
- she could pick her own stuff up
- she didn¡¯t do this every summer
- despite doing this every summer, and it never working, she still thinks this time is going to be different
And I¡¯m a little PO¡¯d because she (my mom) forgot to tell me some people called about needing a babysitter tonight and by time I got the message on my phone they had found someone else. And since my sister and my one friend at home are both at six flags (no I didn¡¯t warrant an invitation (  j/k Alex) it looks like I¡¯ll be spending yet a third Friday night alone at the house. Although my brother is home this weekend so at least there will be another human body somewhere in the house.
I can¡¯t wait until we get back from Europe because I start coaching that week. I am working like 2 mornings a week at Zale-Lipshey (no, not the diamond store, it¡¯s a hospital) but that¡¯s just not enough to keep me busy right now. So when gym starts up again I¡¯ll be working there form 3-7:15 or 3-8:15 depending on the day. But that¡¯s where all my friends are so I¡¯m really looking forward to it. They had this week and next week off. Normally I go up there and hang out with C. Tony and stuff but I always feel awkward because I¡¯m the only retiree who has ever come up every day just for the heck of it. So now that I¡¯ll be working there (and killing the girls, I¡¯m the conditioning coach this summer!!! mua ha ha) it won¡¯t be awkward anymore.
But yeah, in general I¡¯m feeling very much not liked (because I have no friends to hang out with here) and ready for June to get here. I¡¯m afraid college was just a dream and now I¡¯ve woken up to reality and nothing has changed. Please somebody save me from the insanity!!!! | | |
